CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a commitment between a farm and a shareholder.
As stewards of the land, Fossil Creek Farms LLC is committed to provide the shareholder with a variety of high quality chemical-free produce in an environmentally friendly way throughout the Northern Colorado growing season.
As a CSA shareholder you agree to pay a shareholder fee prior to the growing season. This allows the farm to purchase seeds and supplies, and make needed repairs in the off season. In exchange, the shareholder receives a weekly box of currently yielding fresh produce throughout the growing season.
The farm will always plan to have more than enough produce for the shareholder boxes, but should weather or pests destroy some of the crops, under CSA principles, both the farmer and the shareholder agree to share the inherent bounty and/or risk associated with growing organic crops.
